I have been paying in to GEICO for the past many years for my car, never had so much a parking ticket during this time, never made a claim. I needed roadside assistance today, which I pay for, was told they would be coming to help me in 1 1/2 hours. 3 dozen plus phone calls over 4 plus hours and they never came. After which I had to push my car through Manhattan for 1 1/2 miles today. I had to send my young daughter home in a cab by herself for the first time today. They lied to me over and over and over again on the phone that they were sending someone. Eventually, someone called trying to gouge me saying I would have to leave the car with him and he would have to order parts. Order parts? He didn't even see what was wrong with the car. I hope that Gecko dies a miserable and painful death!

I use CURE Auto, formerly NJ CURE. My rates have down each year and its based solely on driving and not credit scores. Never had a late fee, never had a problem, and always willing to help. Never needed roadside assistance but that is why I have AAA

Insurance companies suck. Plain and simple.

I have all my bills on equal pay style plans. Every month, same amount, no worrying about paying too much or too little. Except my car and renters insurance.

After two 6 month cycles with them, I finally found someone who could move my due date from the 27th, to the 5th. My wife gets paid once a month, last day of the month, a sa state gub'ment employee. I get paid on the third, gub'ment welfare baby. The problem arose in that I wanted to pay them, auto style like everyone else, WHEN WE GET PAID!! But because it was over 15 days EARLY they didn't want to take my money. I could have set the auto pay for the 15th or 20th, but then I've got to "memory load" that money in my manually operated spending memory to NOT spend it. That's a pain.

And as a side issue, trust me, no one else had a problem taking my money early.

Only idiot insurance companies would think that way.

Geico is the worst company ever. They treat there employees like shit even when they produce high numbers for you. They fire there top sales people for no reason and promote useless workers who will just do whatever management says. They are the cheapest company in the world and I don't suggest anyone going with Geico.

It's bad enough that there are so many stupid people who respond well to these idiotic commercials thinking they are going to be taken care of, not realizing that they a morons being taken advantage of and the allowed it, but now, I find these motherfuckers in my mail box. These fucking insurance scams are popping up like flies on the shit. In "General" Some real "Progressive", "All State" shit. Oh... there is another one called eSurance, so... be careful what you pay for...

My friend, I too am a good GEICO customer (for 30 more days...thank god). I had a very similar situation with those crooks.

I feel terrible for what you've been through. In fact, I'm so pissed that I've started a blog, Please, come and share your terrible experience with the worst car insurance company on the planet.

Geico does nothing but heap abuse on paying customers. I've have 3 vehicle insured with Geico. The last vehicle was added to my policy over a year ago. Today I suddently get a matter-of-fat letter from Geico that they are cancelling coverage on just the last vehicle I added, not the previous 2. They give no explanation or reason whatsoever. I made a formal complaint with the state insurance commissioner. I hate Geico and will not renew my policy or do business with them ever again.

I'll keep it short: lady runs a solid red light, flies full speed in front of my truck, my truck totalled even after slamming on brakes as hard as I can and trying to swerve out of way even though I have a solid green. Tons of witnesses. Other driver admits to not even seeing the light as she was preoccupied with mother's operation. Geico "insured" other motorist. I try to go through Geico as I think this should be cut and dried, as did the responding police officer on the scene. Geico tells me to get a rental that they will pay for. After 4 days of 'investigation', Geico claims I am 25% at fault!?! Huh?!? They claimed I could have done more to avoid accident. Huh?!? They have 4 days to mull it over, I have 1.5 seconds. And I think I made a better decision in 1.5 seconds than they did in 4 days. After I argue with Geico adjuster for 15 minutes, he changed it to me being only 20% at fault. Huh?!?! Liability is now negotiable??? I hung the phone up, called MY insurance company (a REAL one: USAA). They took care of 100% of vehicle, and waived my deductible because other driver was at fault. Check in the mail now. Now they are going after Geico. And now the best... after a week, Geico calls Hertz and says they aren't paying for the rental that THEY TOLD ME TO RENT!!! Unreal. Don't use them if you will actually ever NEED your insurance!
